Hybrid Laser

These new-generation lasers combine two different wavelengths in the same treatment zone; One non-ablative wavelength that creates columns of thermal damage in the skin without actually ablating the skin and another wavelength that vaporises or ablates a part of the skin. The simultaneous delivery of the two wavelengths allows for high treatment efficacy with minimal downtime.

Currently two such hybrid lasers are available:

Halo – Sciton Lasers: which combines a non-ablative 1470-nm Diode laser and a 2940-nm Erbium:YAG laser

Hybrid – Alma Lasers: which combines a non-ablative 1570-nm Diode laser and a 10,600-nm CO2 laser
