Dr. Maria Angelo Khattar

MD, PhD, M.Sc. Clinical Dermatology

Dr. Maria is the founder of AltaDerma Clinic and the International Director of the Aesthetics Fellowship at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) in the US. As a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and much sought-after trainer for several injectable and laser companies, she has an extensive background in medical aesthetic and academia having served as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University for 13 years and regularly participates in numerous medical conferences around the world.

Dr. Maria has published over 40 scientific and medical papers in international journals and delivered lectures on a variety of subjects in the field of anti-aging and aesthetic medicine. She is a member of several leading professional organizations including the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), The Dermatology Aesthetic Surgical International League (DASIL), European Society of Lasers in Dermatology (ESLD), European Society of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology (ESCAD) and the Fellowship of the UK Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).

Dr. Majd Al Zoughbi

MD, Dermatologist, Medical Director

Dr. Majd is board certified in dermatology and a faculty member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4MDubai) Aesthetic Medicine Program.  She is also an international trainer for Aptos threads among other aesthetic procedures. Born and raised in Syria, she graduated from the University of Damascus with a bachelor’s degree in general medicine then went on to earn her specialization in dermatology from the Syrian Ministry of Health. She was previously Head of Aesthetic Department and Medical Director for some of the most prestigious medical clinics in Dubai.

Dr. Majd is driven by a deep sense of fulfilment that comes from ensuring that each patient is personally guided, counselled and correctly diagnosed for the optimal results. Dr. Majd’s relaxed and friendly approach towards patients is complemented by her role as an expert American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4MDubai) trainer and mentor to other certified doctors for skin conditions and anti-aging best practices.

Dr. Asya Shah

MBBS, General Practitioner

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Asya grew up in the UAE and earned her MBBS from Gulf Medical University in Ajman. She is certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and maintains a keen appreciation for the kaleidoscope skin tones while making patients look and feel their best.

Dr Asya has a combined passion for aesthetic beauty having worked for half a decade as a professional makeup artist to a wide range of VIP’s and celebrities. Her unique blend of expertise and medical education means that she is able to foresee and implement highly effective results for a wide range of clients.

Dr. Naglaa Momtaz

MD, General Practitioner & Laser Specialist

Educated at University of Medicine in Cairo earning her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MMBCH), Dr Naglaa has spent over a decade working in aesthetic medicine at one of Dubai’s leading clinics. She is a dedicated physician in the fields of Pediatrics, Gynecology, and Family Medicine including ante-natal care, vaccines and dialysis. Her passion for skin perfection has led her to become well versed on a variety of non-invasive procedures including dermal fillers, threads, mesotherapy, PRP, body contouring, IPL, and most laser treatments.

Dr. Georgia Vadarli

MD, Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Georgia Vadarli is a UK and Dubai board-certified Plastic Surgeon with over 25 years of experience specializing in Cosmetic Surgery. Originally from Greece where she received her degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki then completed multiple residencies including for General Surgery at the General Hospital of Serres and for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki (otherwise known as G.Papanikolaou).

Dr Georgia specializes in breast surgery, Vaser liposuction, abdominosplasty, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, and facelifts. She is a published scientific author in the International Medical Case Reports Journal and in 1993, established a modern aesthetic plastic surgery center in Greece before moving to Dubai in 2017. She continues to research and develop new protocols combining latest plastic surgery techniques with innovative aesthetic technology to deliver the best natural results. As a female plastic surgeon with technical skills and experience in performing aesthetics procedures, Dr. Georgia also provides care using her soft skills and a deep understanding of emotions clients may feel when considering any kind of cosmetic surgery. Similar to her colleagues at AltaDerma, Dr. Georgia has been a member of the International Teaching Faculty at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Dubai (A4M) and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to training from 2017-2019.

Dr. Ali Singel

MD, Dermatologist

Dr. Ali is a highly qualified and board-certified medical doctor with over 15 years’ experience in dermatology. He earned his medical degree from Ireland at the Royal College of Surgeons & Physicians in 1997 before continuing his training in dermatology, laser and phototherapy specializing in anti-aging medicine. He has worked closely with numerous renowned experts and pioneers in the most-advanced treatment of skin diseases at various hospitals throughout the UK. Dr. Ali holds several post-graduate degrees from the UK including DDsc (Diploma in Dermatological Sciences), MSc (Masters in Dermatological Sciences), MD (Doctor of Medicine), and as a Fellow of Harvard Medical School in the US.

Honored numerous medical awards including the UAE Government for his expert contributions to medicine, Dr Ali is an admired lecturer in dermatology and laser procedures while continuing to research and train others like the Dubai Police as their General Health Advisor.

Valentina Manolova

RN, Laser Specialist

Originally from Bulgaria where they have a long history of valuing proper skincare, Valentina spent 13 years as a Registered Nurse at the National Oncology Centre in Sofia. From the start of her career in 2002, Valentina worked as a beauty therapist and later added laser therapy to her growing list of skills. She studied nutrition in the UK and enjoys life coaching using NLP techniques in her spare time.

Since 2007, she has been a key Laser Specialist at one of the most reputable medical clinics in Dubai before moving 2020 to establish the Beauty Department at a different clinic. We are excited to have Valentina as part of AltaDerma’s internationally experienced experts!

Rayan El Abrach

RN, Laser Specialist

Rayan is an experienced therapist with a long history of working in the cosmetic industry and a passion for helping patients look their best. She was a Staff Nurse in Lebanon’s NINI Hospital from 2005-2008 before specializing in lasers at AGMD in Sharjah. She advanced her NCLC laser certification with a focus on skin rejuvenation and peels for over 10 years at various Dubai medical clinics.  Rayan takes pride in easily communicating with a wide range of patients to make them feel comfortable while addressing each personal aesthetic desire.

Joelle Merhi

Operations Manager

Since graduating with an MBA from the University of Quebec- Canada (Lebanon) in 2009, Joelle has consistently worked in the medial aesthetic field. Starting as a physical therapist and wellness masseuse then supervisor, she moved to Dubai in 2013 to manage a variety of well-known clinics and spas across Dubai before opening AltaDerma Clinic.

Joelle maintains a professional hands-on and detailed-oriented management approach to every aspect of running an aesthetic medical clinic from hiring and training the best international staff to understanding industry treatment procedures. Joelle’s natural ability to make every client feel like royalty and has helped craft the premium customer experience AltaDerma guests should be accustomed to.
